Start with the extension.
The Cursor and VS Code package contains the complete local engine. You do not need a RepoLume account or a separate CLI installation.
1. Download RepoLume
Download the current VSIX package:
Download RepoLume 0.10.19 ↓2. Install it
- Open Cursor or VS Code.
- Open the Extensions view.
- Choose Views and More Actions… → Install from VSIX…
- Select the downloaded RepoLume package and reload the editor when prompted.
3. Open a project
Open a folder—not only an individual file—then select the RepoLume icon in the Activity Bar. The first private project index begins automatically and reports real progress.
4. Use your first project map
- Wait until the dashboard says the private index is ready.
- Choose Open Galaxy to explore communities and high-impact symbols.
- Choose Ask with project context and describe the change you want to make.
- Run Verify changes before you call the work complete.
5. Connect an AI coding agent
Choose Connect agents in RepoLume. It can prepare local MCP configuration for Cursor, Codex CLI, Claude Code, Windsurf, OpenCode, and compatible stdio clients.
